Basic Communication Skills Training Held at AUZEF
Istanbul University’s Faculty of Open and Distance Education (AUZEF) organized an in-service training program titled "Basic Communication Skills" to strengthen internal communication and enhance employees’ interpersonal skills. The training, organized by the Quality and Human Resources Office, attracted significant participation from vice deans, the faculty secretary, and administrative staff.
The training was delivered by Clinical Psychologist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cem Güney Özveren, who is known for his notable contributions to the field of social and human sciences. The program covered key topics such as the fundamentals of communication, interpersonal communication, effective and active listening, persuasion skills, and self-confidence. Participants were offered not only theoretical knowledge but also practical applications.
With active participation from the staff, the program contributed to fostering a healthier and more efficient communication culture in the workplace. Attendees became more aware of effective communication techniques that they can apply in both their personal and professional lives, gaining valuable insights for team collaboration and institutional cohesion.
AUZEF aims to regularly continue its in-service training programs to support both the professional and personal development of its staff, and to improve the overall quality of internal communication.
