Our Faculty





The Open and Distance Education Faculty (AUZEF) is a faculty that operates open education and distance learning programs within Istanbul University. AUZEF started accepting students in distance education in 2009, and in open education programs in 2011. Today, AUZEF is constantly progressing towards becoming one of Turkey's leading digital faculties. AUZEF offers various undergraduate, associate degree, and open education programs to students. Students can take their courses through remote or open education methods by registering for these programs. AUZEF is considered as one of the top digital faculties in Turkey.  

As of the year 2022, there are a total of 47 active programs AUZEF, consisting of 36 open education programs and 11 distance learning programs. Out of these, 20 are undergraduate programs, 23 are associate degree programs, and 4 are bachelor's degree completion programs.

AUZEF, using digital learning-teaching methods, offers all its students the opportunity to receive education at Istanbul University standards independently of time and place. In this context, unlike traditional education models, there is no obligation for the student to come to the campus. AUZEF provides a platform where courses are conducted entirely in a virtual environment via the internet and computer/mobile devices, and the participant can watch them repeatedly at any time they wish.

The use of the Istanbul University Open and Distance Education Faculty logo and the right to make statements on all platforms belong only to AUZEF.
 If the AUZEF logo is used and/or statements are made on behalf of the institution, legal action will be taken against the relevant individuals and accounts.
