AUZEF Successfully Completes ISO 9001 Quality Management System Audit

Istanbul University’s Faculty of Open and Distance Education (AUZEF) has successfully completed the first surveillance audit of its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification. The external audit was conducted by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) on April 16–17.

During the closing session of the audit, AUZEF Dean Prof. Dr. Levent Şahin emphasized the importance of quality and highlighted the faculty's quality-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement. Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Musa Şahin, Prof. Dr. Rabia Nergiz Dağoğlu Sakin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Ünver, Asst. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Türkoğlu, Faculty Secretary Ayşe Arslan, and office supervisors shared their insights regarding the quality processes and expressed their gratitude to Auditor Cahit Atlı for his evaluations.

Auditor Cahit Atlı also thanked AUZEF’s administration and office supervisors for their institutional organization and positive perspective on quality management.

Lecturers Dr. Sıla Meltem Türken Arman and Emine Kutay, who led the quality management efforts, stated that the feedback provided by Lead Auditor Cahit Atlı would serve as a guide for future improvement initiatives. They extended their thanks to all AUZEF administrators who contributed to the process.

The audit at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Open and Distance Education (AUZEF) was completed successfully with no nonconformities identified.
