RADIO TELEVISION CINEMA

 

 

The Radio, TV, and Cinema Program affiliated with AUZEF is a four-year distance education undergraduate program.

Purpose of the Program;

The aim of the program is to educate individuals who can carry out creative and innovative work in the fields related to radio, television, and cinema on the basis of culture, are theoretically equipped, can grasp technological developments in their field and make effective and efficient use of technology, with flexible methods of education in terms of time, place, and learning speed. Students are expected to gain the competencies of theoretical knowledge in the field of radio, television, and cinema, using field-specific research methods and techniques, obtaining scientific data, producing in the visual-auditory application fields, comprehending legal regulations and processes in the field of communication, conducting interdisciplinary research, gaining critical perspective, producing original works, and developing sensitivity to professional ethics.

 

DETAILED INFORMATION

With the Radio, Television, and Cinema Undergraduate Program, students are expected to:

  • Conduct interdisciplinary research and examination.
  • Follow theoretical and practical knowledge in their field using a foreign language and share this knowledge.
  • Comprehend national and international values in the fields of communication and art.
  • In addition, they aim to acquire the skills of supporting the universality of social and cultural rights in the field of communication, gaining awareness of historical and cultural heritage, transforming abstract and concrete concepts into creative thinking, innovative and original works, and having an artistic perspective and aesthetic awareness.

 

 

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

  • Registration via YKS (Higher Education Institutions Examination)
    • You can make a preference for the program after taking the YKS and being placed by ÖSYM. If you are placed by ÖSYM, you will have the right to register.
  • Registration via Horizontal Transfer Exam
    • Students who want to register with a horizontal transfer need to meet the required conditions and apply. For announcements and applications for horizontal transfer, you can follow the https://ogrenci.istanbul.edu.tr address.
  • Registration via International Students Exam (YÖS)
    • To register for the program, you need to have taken the YÖS and meet the required conditions. For detailed information, visit: https://yos.istanbul.edu.tr. If you are placed by Istanbul University, you will have the right to register.

 

COURSES AND COURSE MATERIALS

The Radio, Television, and Cinema Undergraduate Program consists of compulsory courses in the fields such as Cinema, Media, Television. The most significant feature of the program is that all course materials are prepared through e-learning methods. The educational system platform is organized to meet all needs, and course notes, presentations, videos, and advanced teaching materials have been uploaded to the system for students to work comfortably. EXAMS AND ASSESSMENT

Examination Method
Exams are held face-to-face under supervision, including at least one midterm, one semester/year-end final exam, and a makeup exam for each course every year/semester. The rules to be applied in the exams are determined and announced to the students with the approval of the Faculty Board.

Regarding Examination Procedures
In general, exams conducted by our faculty are in the form of multiple-choice tests. There are 20 questions for each course, and 30 minutes are given for solving the questions.

GRADUATION

  • To graduate, you need to obtain the required credit/ECTS credits and successfully complete them according to the decision of the Faculty Board.
  • You should not have FF grade in any course.
  • You should have a general grade point average of 2.00 and above (GPA).
  • You must complete all compulsory courses for all semesters.
  • Complete elective courses according to group rules. (Applicable for those who enrolled before the 2017-2018 academic year.)

    • Warning: The number of ECTS credits may be increased by the decision of the Faculty Board.

Graduates of the Radio, Television, and Cinema Undergraduate Program can work in:

  • All television and radio organizations,
  • The cinema industry,
  • Departments of institutions and organizations in the field of communication,
  • All local and national newspapers,
  • Consultancy departments of organizations.
