INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING

 

 

The Industrial Engineering Program affiliated with AUZEF is a three-year distance education undergraduate completion program.

Program Objectives: 

The program aims for graduates to have knowledge of topics related to the Industrial Engineering field at the level required by the discipline, to be proficient in computer software and programming languages used in Industrial Engineering, and to be able to use information and communication technologies. In addition, the program's goals include equipping graduates to solve complex problems encountered in different sectors in the business world, and to take on responsibilities individually and as team members. Graduates will be able to define different problems, analyze them, develop solution proposals based on data, and design solution alternatives. In this context, the program will ensure that engineers who can follow current information in Industrial Engineering and communicate with their peers are introduced to the sector.

 

DETAILS

Industrial Engineering Program aims to;
  • Be able to apply current technological developments to their own work,
  • Be able to address problems in line with Industrial Engineering approaches and generate appropriate solutions,
  • Provide skills such as active involvement in improving existing systems and models, taking leadership when necessary, and developing strategies.

 

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

The Industrial Engineering Distance Education undergraduate program in our faculty has been discontinued. New students will not be admitted to the program.


 

COURSES AND COURSE MATERIALS

The Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Completion Program consists of compulsory courses in areas such as Microeconomics, Introduction to Statistics, Systems Analysis and Design, Work Study and Ergonomics, Materials and Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Economy, Decision Analysis, and Labor Law. The most significant feature of the program is that all course materials are prepared using the e-learning method. The Education System Platform has been organized to meet all needs, and course notes, presentations, videos, and advanced teaching materials prepared as Phase 2 content have been uploaded to the system, and there are no printed materials.

EXAMS AND EVALUATION

Exam Format
Examinations are held face-to-face under supervision for each course, with at least one midterm exam, one semester/year-end final exam, and a makeup exam per semester/year. Rules for examinations are determined and announced to students with the approval of the Faculty Board.

About Exam Practices
Examinations held by our faculty are generally in the form of multiple-choice tests. For each course, 20 questions are asked, and 30 minutes are given for solving the questions.

GRADUATION

  • Take the necessary credits/ECTS as per the decision of the Faculty Board and successfully complete them,
  • Not have a grade of FF in any course,
  • Have a general grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or higher,
  • Complete all compulsory courses in all semesters.
  • Complete elective courses according to group rules. (Valid for those entering before the 2017-2018 academic year.)

    • Warning: The Faculty Board may increase the number of ECTS credits.

 

 

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of the Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Completion Program;
  • Can work in various sectors of the private sector such as Automotive, Textile, Tourism, Health, etc., or in public institutions and organizations.
  • In addition, students who graduate from the program can achieve an academic career by pursuing a master's and doctoral degree in their fields.


PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP

For the Distance Education Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, there is a Production Internship in the 3rd year's spring semester (6th semester). The duration of the internship is 20 business days, and the evaluation is done as either successful or unsuccessful.

Field and Institutions for Internship
The production internship should be carried out in a company operating in the production sector or partially in a firm where production is carried out, even if it is not in the production sector.

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP

For the Distance Education Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, there is an 'Industrial Engineering Internship' in the 4th year's spring semester (8th semester). The duration of the internship is 20 business days, and the evaluation is done as either successful or unsuccessful.

Field and Institutions for Internship

The Industrial Engineering Internship is a comprehensive internship that all our students are required to complete. It is a requirement that at least one engineer is working in the place where the internship is performed.
