FINANCE

 

 

The Finance Program, affiliated with AUZEF, is a four-year distance education undergraduate program.

Program Objectives:

The program aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge for senior management positions in public and private organizations upon graduation. It also aims to improve students' analytical skills and prepare them for careers as honest, questioning, and analytical professionals in both the public and private sectors, such as finance inspector, accountancy, analyst, expert, inspector, and similar professions. The program focuses on equipping students with fundamental economics knowledge and theoretical and practical knowledge about public expenditures, government debts, budgets, taxes, local government finance, and fiscal policies, as well as various financial systems.

 

DETAILS

With the Finance Bachelor's Program, students will gain:

  • The ability to be successful professionals in fields such as finance inspection, accountancy, analysis, expert roles in both the public and private sectors, with skills in honesty, inquiry, and analysis.
  • The ability to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as basic economics, government debts, budgets, taxes, local government finance, fiscal policies, and various financial systems.

 

 

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

Our Faculty's Finance Distance Education undergraduate program has been discontinued. New students will not be admitted to the program.

 

COURSES AND COURSE MATERIALS

The Finance Bachelor's Program consists of mandatory courses in areas such as Business, Social Policy, Economic Psychology, Microeconomics, Statistics, Labor Economics, Constitutional Law, Monetary Theory and Policy, Cost Accounting, Fiscal Policy, Public Economics, and Commercial Law. One of the program's main features is that all course materials are prepared through e-learning methods.
The Instruction System Platform is organized to meet all needs, and it provides students with course notes, presentations, videos, and advanced instructional material for the Phase 2, all in a digital format. No printed materials are available.

EXAMS AND EVALUATION

Exam Implementation Method
Exams are conducted in-person and supervised for each course every year/semester. Exams include at least one mid-term exam, one end-of-semester/year final exam, and a makeup exam. The rules and regulations for exams are determined and announced to students with the approval of the Faculty Board.

About Exam Procedures
Exams in our Faculty are generally conducted in the form of multiple-choice tests. Each course has 20 questions, and students are given 30 minutes to answer the questions.

GRADUATION

  • Successfully complete the required credit/ECTS amount as determined by the Faculty Board,
  • Not having a letter grade of "FF" in any course,
  • Having a GPA (AGNO) of 2.00 or above,
  • Complete all mandatory courses in all terms.
  • Complete elective courses according to group rules. (This is valid for students who entered the program before the 2017-2018 academic year.)
Note: The Faculty Board may increase the number of ECTS credits as needed.

Graduates of the Finance Bachelor's Program can pursue careers in:

  • The Undersecretariat of the Treasury,
  • The Revenue Administration Presidency,
  • The Central Bank,
  • The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency,

  • Industrial company financial and administrative departments.

Furthermore, students graduating from the program can pursue an academic career by obtaining a master's and doctoral degree in their fields.
