CHILD DEVELOPMENT AO
The Child Development Program affiliated with AUZEF is a four-year open education undergraduate program.
Purpose of the Program;
The purpose of the Child Development program is to educate experts who can offer services to children, families, educators, and society through theoretical and practical education programs that support all areas of child development (cognitive, language, motor, self-care, social, and emotional) for children aged 0-18, whether they have normal development or special educational needs. These experts should be capable of preparing educational toys suitable for technology, acquiring knowledge about the habits and needs of children, and taking precautions against the problems they may encounter.
DETAILED INFORMATION
Child Development Undergraduate Program offers students:- Acquisition of knowledge in the field of child development based on universal science, educational principles, and lifelong learning
- Determining an education module suitable for the age range of the children under education
- Ability to establish effective communication with children through vocational training
- Proficiency in Turkish and the effective use of the language of an instructional candidate
- Being knowledgeable about the cognitive, affective, and psycho-motor characteristics of pre-school children
- Specialization in the profession with field courses and applied courses
- Observing and analyzing the behavioral processes of children studying in pre-school institutions
- Regularly observing the developmental periods of children and analyzing the physical and behavioral changes that occur between these developmental periods
- Organizing activities that contribute to guidance services at the institution where they work
- Conducting cultural studies within the scope of parent-school cooperation to advance the socio-cultural development of students
- Aiming to acquire skills to create statistical data about students' in a mobile environment and to regularly create these data.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
- Registration with YKS (Higher Education Institutions Examination): After taking the YKS, you can make a preference for the program. If you are placed at our faculty by ÖSYM, you will have the right to register.
- Registration with DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam): After taking the DGS, you can make a preference for the program. If you are placed at our faculty by ÖSYM, you will have the right to register.
- Registration without an Exam Under the Second University Scope: To register in the program, you must meet the necessary requirements and apply to the faculty. COURSES AND COURSE MATERIALS
The Child Development Undergraduate Program consists of mandatory courses in the fields of Psychology, Pre-school, and Child Development. The main feature of the program is that all course materials are prepared through e-learning. The program curriculum is prepared in line with the national education policy objectives. The courses are prepared by the experienced academic staff of Istanbul University Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty of Education. The Instructional System Platform is organized to meet all needs, and course notes, presentations, videos, and advanced instructional materials (FAZ2 content) have been uploaded to the system to facilitate students' work.

EXAMS AND ASSESSMENT
Exam Application Method
Exams are conducted face-to-face with supervision at least once a mid-term, one end-term, and a make-up exam for each course every year/semester. The rules to be applied in the exams are determined with the approval of the Faculty Board and announced to the students.
About Exam Applications
Exams conducted by our faculty are generally in the form of multiple-choice tests. 20 questions are asked for each course, and 30 minutes are provided for solving the questions.

GRADUATION
- To graduate, you must:
- Successfully complete the required credits/ECTS credits by the decision of the Faculty Board
- Not have an FF letter-graded course
- Have a GPA of 2.00 and above (CGPA)
- Complete all compulsory courses for all terms.
